JBT / DIET course can be pursued by students who have passed 10+2 (any stream) from a recognized board. The course has been designed to improve the elementary level teacher workforce in India. JBT course caters to the needs of elementary level education segment.Junior Basic Training course is technically an elementary teacher training course.

JBT is is also known as D.El.Ed. , D.ED or DIET. After completing 2 years academic program, JBT professionals become eligible to work at elementary level schools, Primary Level Schools, nursery and similar educational institutes imparting elementary education. This teacher training course suits those who want to teach at Nursery & Primary level schools.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Minimum qualification required is 10+2 passed (any stream) from a recognized board with at least 50% aggregate marks.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Merit based admission process in SCERT Board. Deserving candidates are selected through online Counselling selection process and/or on the basis of their performance in board examination.
